Pastor Nathaniel & Valencia Newsome: AUTOBIOGRAPHY
Pastor
Nathaniel & Evangelist Valencia Newsome can be described as two broken vessels
found in the potter's field which the potter saw fit to use. Looking back over
the trials and tribulations they started to experience in 1980, the Newsomes
endured and now are honorable vessels being used in the "Body of Christ". They
always attribute any and all blessings you see in their lives to God's
forgiveness and because of a spirit of repentance.
They give all honor to God first for any success in their lives, and two Dynamic
Pastors, Dr. W. B. & Patricia Oneal of The Mount Canaan Full Gospel Church in
Birmingham, Alabama, whom they served and supported for sixteen years. Pastors
W. B. & Patricia Oneal lovingly mentored them and brought out potential they
would have never discovered. Some of the positions Minister Nathaniel Newsome
served were Assistant Administrator to Pastor W. B. Oneal, Head of Board of
Directors, Youth Pastor and Member of Board of Trustees. Some of the positions
Evangelist Valencia served were, Youth Administrator, Director of Counseling and
Asst. Teacher to Pastor W. B. Oneal in New Members & New Converts Class,
Coordinator of Intercessory Prayer & Altar Team and Worship and Praise Leader.
They serve as a team in The "Spirit - Filled Life Full Gospel Church" as Pastor
& Co-Pastor. As outreach evangelism they also offer seminars, classes, and
conferences concerning Leadership and "Building Better Relationships" for the
married, single, widowed or divorced and offer family and personal counseling
They each have a unique ability to communicate to those that have been hurt.
Because of the dynamic healing in their lives, they are able to comfort others
with the same comfort they have been comforted with.
Due to the promotion on Nathaniel's job with Social Security Administration they
relocated to Ft. Pierce, Florida. They know it was a move of God because they
were once again blessed in this life by wonderful leadership ,Pastor John &
First Lady Maxine Robinson, whom they served and supported for 6 years at The
Church of God By Faith., Ft. Pierce, Fl. The Newsomes were released graciously
and with Pastor & Sister Robinson's blessings to obey the call of pastoring
"Spirit-Filled Life Full Gospel Church and are presently under the Covering
and Authority of the Mt. Canaan Full Gospel Church, Birmingham, Alabama .
They both have been ordained ministers in The Body of Christ for over 18 years.
Nathaniel is ordained Pastor &Elder of Mt. Canaan Full Gospel Church as well as
Church of God By Faith. Valencia has been ordained Evangelist/Teacher in both
organizations as well. God has blessed their gifts with the love to travel to do
missionary work throughout the United States and also Jamaica and Bahamas. They
are frequent guest on the TBN television program.
They have been married over 21 years and have five children :Michelle, Rechelle,
Nathaniel II, Nathan & Natina. Three grandchildren: Lamar, Erika and Jordan.
Nathaniel says, "I know the bottom is solid because I have been there". That is
why he loves to give hope to those who are about to give up. Valencia's
testimony is John 4. She finally met her first love Jesus Christ who introduced
her to I John I:9.She became God's woman and He gave her one of his best men,
Nathaniel.
Nathaniel & Valencia feel their highest honor ,callings and degrees are to be
Saved, Sanctified and Filled with God's Spirit and becoming New Creatures in
Christ and being accepted in the Beloved.
